Douglas Commercial model number 6, construction number 45329, had been under restoration for a ferry flight since November 2008.
She departed Swartkop Air Force base on Saturday 4 December 2010 at 07:13 and landed at 07:50 at her new home just north of Pretoria.
Her new owners are Witold Walus & Willie Muntingh of Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers Plot 145 Waterval, Wallmansthal, Pretoria.

An existing 500m dirt strip was widened and lengthened by about another 800 meters to the north. Prior to landing she performed a "runway inspection" and flew low over the prepared strip. The aircraft landed north to south and at the end of the strip turned left into Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers premises.
The pilots were Johan van den Berg (SAA), Laurie Raath (SAA) and Flight Engineer Mike Mayers.
Congratulations to the owners Witold and Willie and Mike & the team that kept at it for two years, we salute you!
